Do I have to eat all the food listed in the meal plan?
We do encourage eating all the food listed on your meal plan. Your meal plan has been designed to give you all the essential nutrients needed for optimal nutrition as well as for safe and effective weight loss.

Do I need to eat vegetables and fruits while on the program?
It is strongly recommended that our members eat a variety of fruits and vegetables for optimal health. Talk with your counselor and together, you can work to find a mix of fruit and vegetables that you enjoy eating.

What is the nutritional composition of carbohydrates, protein and fat per day on the program?
The NutriSystem Nourish meal plans provide approximately 55% of the calories from good, low-glycemic carbohydrates, 25% of the calories from protein, and 20% of the calories from fat.

NUTRISYSTEM FOODS

Why don't the NutriSystem foods require refrigeration?
All of the NutriSystem foods are "packaged for portability" - a convenience that is very important when you're losing weight. NutriSystem foods are sealed in their packaging prior to cooking to preserve all the important vitamins and minerals and keep them fresh until you open them. On average, the shelf life of NutriSystem meals and desserts is between 6-18 months and because of our "soft canning" process, none of our foods require refrigeration. They're ready to go whenever, and wherever, you are.

How should I store my NutriSystem foods?
When you receive your NutriSystem foods, you don't need to refrigerate or freeze them. They can be stored at room temperature in a cupboard or on the countertop.

How do I prepare my NutriSystem foods?
Each entree has specific preparation instructions on its box or container. Most of the NutriSystem foods can be prepared either on the stovetop or in the microwave. Some simply require the addition of water, and others are ready to eat as-delivered.

How many weeks of food should I order?
For best results, we recommend that you start by ordering our 28-day NutriSystem Nourish package. This will give you 4 weeks of meals and snacks, and get your weight loss program well underway. (Plus, when you order the 28-day program on the Auto Delivery option, you'll receive free shipping.) However, there is no set number of weeks you must order-you can always order anything from 1 to 10-week programs.

If I choose Auto Delivery, can I cancel or edit my order if I want to?
Yes. If you've chosen to participate in the Auto Delivery program and are receiving free shipping plus saving 10-15% on your orders shipped automatically to you each month, you may still edit, delay or cancel your order at any time, for any reason, without penalty. To make any of these changes at any time, simply call a NutriSystem customer service representative or visit the Auto Delivery page on the NutriSystem web site.

Can I pay by check?

What's your return policy?
Within 30 days of receipt of your order, you may return any unopened item in its original condition, for a refund.
